Unable to save a file in Adobe (blank page in “Save As”)


Overview

Fix the issue of a blank page appearing when using “Save As” in Adobe (Reader / Acrobat) to regain access to local folders.


Description of the problem

When a user clicks File → Save As, a blank or empty page appears.

This issue is usually caused by the “Show online storage” option being enabled in Adobe Preferences.


Solution / Procedure


1. Open Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.

2. Click Edit in the menu bar.

3. Select Preferences.

4. In the list on the left, click General.

5. Locate the option:

​👉 “Show online storage when saving files”

6. Uncheck this box.

7. Click OK to confirm.

8. Close and then restart Adobe.

9. Try File → Save As again.


✅ The save window should now appear normally.
