LIFO/%/Do not treat for AST timber codes
For certain timber codes, an AST treatment is defined as required. If a timber code does not contain the AS it is not possible to order this with the treatment.
However, in exceptional cases, this treatment is not applied to the timber.
How to Register This Situation
When the timber is not treated, this must be explicitly indicated during:
- Timber delivery entry, or
- Timber delivery control
In this case, the option “Do Not Treat” is selected.
This means that neither the supplier nor the site has carried out the treatment.
How to Recognize These Timber Packs
Previously, these packs were identifiable throughout ePack by the % symbol.
From now on, their status is indicated as follows:
On timber labels
- The % symbol remains in use.
- This ensures forklift drivers can continue to recognize these packs in the same familiar way.
In ePack (delivery entry, delivery control, timber stock, etc.)
- Wherever a % symbol was previously shown, you will now see a check mark in the LIFO field.
What Does LIFO Mean in This Context?
LIFO stands for Last In, First Out.
This means:
- These Do Not Treat timber packs retain priority for consumption.
- They will be consumed before other packs of the same timber code that have been treated.
