📄 Update production times

Update production times

To calculate the estimated time when a production line will be ready, the following parameters are important:

1/ shifts per machine

2/ The hourly target per machine

if no percentage is entered, the full maximum capacity is taken into account (100%)

if there is no target line for this spec for a specific machine, ePack will take into account the hourly target set in the general targets of this machine (Production > settings> input goals)

3/ the breaks per shift

4/ the changeover time that is to plan obligatory. Should there be no changeover time for a certain production line, then the goals for changeover time per machine are taken into account (Production > settings> input goals)

5/ a margin can be set in the branch settings to have some more time to organise transport:

If a pallet consists of a semi-finished product that is planned to be co-produced, then the production time of the semi-finished pallet is not added anymore to the production time. It's only the target of the finished item on this machine that is used then.

The calculation is made per machine if it is filtered, or for the whole schedule if it is not filtered. (1) The calculation starts from the date and time you click on the button update production times and will take into account the balance of the current line in production (ordered - what is already produced). The forecast is displayed (2) if all the lines in the batch are not yet ready, once all the lines are ready, the actual time is displayed (3); both the estimated time and the actual time are tracked. (to be able to compare the two and assess whether the estimated time was realistic)
